'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League homecoming

Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his interest in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is presently midway through the four-year agreement he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The veteran forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the first significant achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he previously was, and would certainly consider extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
